I am a ceramist who works from a garden studio! I gather my inspiration from all around me. My studio is close to the elements and I can watch the ever changing landscape. I use techniques of slip casting and throwing to produce my vessels and jewellery. I incorporate natural textures from organic objects that I collect in my garden, and from long walks around the Cotswolds where I live to create a narrative.

1280°c is the optimum verification temperature of porcelain. It is at this temperature porcelain reaches its strongest and most translucent point in the kiln and has its most desired appearance and materiality. I work mostly with porcelain because it is very light but strong and perfect for wearable jewellery and bowls. Ultimately the resulting forms reflect my passion to integrate nature and movement into clay in a contemporary approach.
